Directions to Big Creek Expeditions Rafting Outpost

Experience has taught us that GPS will often suggest routes that we do not recommend. For directions to the zipline outpost, please scroll down past directions to the rafting outpost.

Please note: Total Drive Time for each route is an approximate drive time, and is subject to change depending on your exact departure point, traffic, and personal driving preferences.

From Gatlinburg

In downtown Gatlinburg you can find US-321 North at traffic light #3. Continue on US-321 for approximately 20 miles until you come to the first stop sign in Cosby, TN. Go left for 1.8 miles, then right on Foothills Parkway. You will be on the Foothills Parkway for about 6 miles until taking I-40 East to exit # 447 Hartford Rd. (the very next exit). At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right at stop sign. Go 0.3 miles. Turn left down the drive at the Fox Fire Campgrounds.

From Pigeon Forge

Take US-411 North for approximately 20 miles to I-40 East. You will be on I40 for approximately 20 minutes until getting off at exit #447 Hartford Rd. At the bottom of the exit ramp, please turn right at stop sign. Go 0.3 miles, then turn left down the drive at the Fox Fire Campgrounds.

From Sevierville

Take US-411 North for approximately 20 miles to I-40 East. You will be on I40 for approximately 20 minutes until getting off at exit #447 Hartford Rd. At the bottom of the exit ramp, please turn right at stop sign. Go 0.3 miles, then turn left down the drive at the Fox Fire Campgrounds.

From Asheville, NC

Take I-40 West for approximately 50 miles, just across the NC/TN State Line, to exit #447 Hartford Rd. At the bottom of the exit ramp, please turn left at stop sign. Go under the interstate, to the next stop sign (approximately 0.2 miles) , and turn right. Go 0.4 miles. Turn left down the drive at the Fox Fire Campgrounds.

Directions to Legacy Mountain Ziplines’ Outpost

From Gatlinburg

Take the Parkway out of Gatlinburg, staying on Hwy. 321 / 73 about 2 miles. Just past McDonalds and Family Dollar take left onto Glades Rd.. Stay on Glades Rd. about 2.5 miles to stop sign at Birds Creek Rd – Go Left. Take Birds Creek Rd. about 3.5 miles and go left on Upper Middle Creek Rd.(at Dunns Market). In about a half mile turn right at stone gate that says “Legacy Mountain Resort”. Around 2 curves (about 100 yards) look for us down on your right.

From Pigeon Forge

On “the strip” called Parkway (Hwy. 441), turn at traffic light #8 (you can only turn 1 way). At the first traffic light keep to right onto (Dollywood Lane). Dollywood Lane will become Upper Middle Creek Rd.. Continue about 5 miles to 2431 Upper Middle Creek Rd. Turn left at stone gate that says “Legacy Mountain Resort”. Around 2 curves (about 100 yards) look for us down on your right.

From I-40 or Sevierville

Take Hwy. 66 South (Winfield Dunn Parkway) to Hwy. 411 (Main St.) go left at Walgreens. Continue on Hwy. 411 3 miles to next Walgreens go right on Pittman Center Rd. Continue on Pittman Center Rd. about 4.2 miles to Upper Middle Creek Rd. and go right at Dunns Market. Look for 2431 Upper Middle Creek Rd. on right and turn at stone gate. Around 2 curves (about 100 yards) look for us down on your right, we will take you to the top.
