LJ has over 25 years of experience as a guide and is certified in First Aid, CPR, and Swift Water. He has worked on the Upper and Lower Gauley and New River in West Virginia for over 20 years. He has also worked at Ocean Kayak for two years in Oahu, Hawaii. He has been a trip leader on the Pigeon River for the last four years. LJ is from Oak Hill, WV. He has been with his partner, Estarla, for the last 23 years. He has three children: Jessup, River, and Lily-May. He loves spending his free time rafting, fishing, hunting, playing golf, or spending time with his family.
